PRESS RELEASE
22 July 2009
TIDWORTH FESTIVAL 2009
(Organised by Community Dynamix Limited)
Tidworth Festival was to be held over the weekend 24th - 26th July at Perham Down Polo Training Ground, Tidworth. On the Friday there was to have been Music in Flight featuring the London Pro Arte orchestra and various air displays. On the Saturday there was to have been the Status Quo concert and on the Sunday there was to have been a Family Fun Day featuring the Troggs.
Unfortunately ticket sales were not to the level expected.Cash received to date has had to be paid to performers and festival infrastructure leaving no cash in hand. This has left no money to allow the festival to go ahead and no money to return to people.
The directors deeply regret the situation and would like to confirm that they have not received any remuneration or benefits from organising the festival and have lost money themselves.
The directors have taken advice on the situation and have been advised to place the company into liquidation. This will take some time but creditors will receive notices about this in the future.
The directors have organised with WOMAD that tickets will be honoured at their event on either the Saturday or Sunday this weekend. This is at Charlton Park near Malmesbury and ticket holders need only turn up with their tickets for the Tidworth Festival.
Further information will be placed on the website www.tidworthfestival.infoas necessary.
(the company was previously called Tidworth Area Festival Limited and is a charity - charity number 1126619)
